Weather Policy



At USA Softball DFW, safety is the most important thing and if any of the threatening weather conditions listed below are present the day of the event,
the event may be delayed or canceled. When weather conditions or other physical conditions present a danger to participants, our officials maintain the
right to cancel the event. Less threatening conditions may cause alterations of the format to ensure participant, volunteer, and community safety.
USA Softball of DFW with the mandate of the Parks and Recreation Departments and or the Softball League may cancel or delayed an event if any of the
following weather conditions exist: Tornado Warning, Tornado Watch, Thunderstorm, "Heavy" Rain, Extreme Cold, Extreme Hot or other major weather conditions.


Unhealthy air quality due fire or other pollutions. Any Police or Fire emergency in the area. The Tournament Director, in accordance with the city and or
the local law enforcement and league has the authority to cancel, if threatening conditions force the safety of the tournament/event.
If Event is canceled or delayed: We will notify all participants by rain-outline app, please sign up and follow us on the app or any of our social media outlets.
We will also send a text to all who agreed to receive notification text messages during the registration process.
The start of the tournament/event may be canceled if any of the above mentioned conditions exist. Such conditions fall under the label "Acts of God,"
and will result in about a 90% refund of any entry fees since funds has already been spent in preparation for the event.
We will however transfer your entry fee at 100% for a future tournament/events throughout the calendar year.
Cancellation after event begins 
If the start of the event is cancelled and unable to finish we will credit your team for a prorated amount for a future tournament, please email the Tournament Director
with details of your chosen tournament. We will send an invoice if there is a balance due.
Format Change 
If the start of the event is delayed the Tournament Director may have to change the format of the tournament in order to finish a tournament at a reasonable time.
Some format changes may constitute a credit for a future tournament/event at a prorated amount.
Tournament Cutoff
Our cutoff time is 11:59 pm 8 days before the scheduled tournament.  There are circumstances where the registration runs past the cutoff time but deadline for refunds same.
Note: These are our guidelines for safety however the ultimate responsibility for the safety of their players and children is parents and coaches. Always be updated on current conditions and be aware of the players safety.
